BJP worker held with illegal liquor
Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, Nov 14 (UNI) A BJP worker was arrested with 150 sacks filled with illegal liquor bottles, which was being brought from Madhya Pradesh for distributing among voters.
It was seized in a surprise raid near Food Corporation of India godown at Lohari village in this district's Marwahi assembly constituency, police said today.
The liquor seized from a metador was valued Rs 1.5 lakh. It was illegally transported from Bartarai area of Madhya Pradesh's Rajnagar town to Marwahi in Chhattisgarh.
Former Chhattisgarh chief minister Ajit Jogi was contesting from Marwahi.
An accomplice of arrested BJP worker managed to escape, olice added.
