Bangalore: Chinnara Habba from Nov 20

Bengaluru, Nov 14: Chinnara Habba, the annual children's festival will be back in Bangalore from November 20. The festival will provide children a platform to exhibit their talent and also have fun. Various competitions will be held at Palace Grounds from 11 am to 7.30 pm till November 23.

Children of all schools can take part. The competitions include talent hunt, drawing competition, talent show, adventure zone and Mom, Lets Walk on the Ramp. Over 100 trade stalls selling electronics, garments and consumer durables will also be put up the venue.

The event is organised by Eventspro. Addressing the media on Thursday, Nagaraja Selvanathan, Director, Eventspro, said that the competitions and events will be held from 11 am to 7.30 pm. The main attraction at the venue would be P Thayagarajan, India"s tallest man. He will be there to entertain the children.

The entry fee for children is Rs 20 and for adults, it is Rs 30.

The fest will kick-start with a oneness run being organised from Vidhana Soudha to the Palace Grounds at 9 am. With national integration and communal harmony as the theme, over 5,000 children including those suffering from illness such as AIDS and cancer will take part. The run is jointly organised by Eventspro, National Minority Development Corporation and Karnataka Minority Development Corporation. The events at the Palace Grounds will be at 10.30 am on the opening day. As a part of the pre-event activities, 1 lakh booklets will be distributed to students in government, aided and private educational institutions.

The booklet will carry various articles which have been written by children. This will also serve as a free entry pass to the event. Pre-registration is a must to participate in the events. For registrations contact: 080 - 2660 1049.
