Teenager on 'robbery mission' lynched to death
New Delhi, Nov 13 (UNI) A 17-year-old robber was allegedly lynched, leading to his death, by a furious mob in Nihal Vihar area of West Delhi early this morning.
According to sources, the boy, Gaurav, was caught while on a 'robbery mission', along with his associate Amit, and later beaten severely by a mob which gathered hearing the commotion.
After the police was called, he was taken to the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The call was received at about 0500 hrs, said the police adding that a case under Section 304 (culpable homicide not amountiug to murder) has been registered.
Amit, who managed to flee from the 'spot' when Gaurav was caught, was also arrested later, the police added.
Gaurav was a resident of Seva Ram Park.
