Raj Speaker, 10 women, 19 new faces figure in BJP list for state

Jaipur, Nov 13 (UNI) Ten more women, including Rajasthan state Speaker Sumitra Singh, former MP and sitting MLA Krishnendra Kaur alias Deepa figure in the second list of 43 ruling BJP candidates for the December 4 Assembly polls.

Former Speaker Samarath Lal Meena, two Ministers Surendrapal Singh TT and Vasudev Devnani and two former MPs Gopal Pacherwal and Kunji Lal Meena are also included in the list, released by the party today.

The party in this list has dropped 12 sitting MLAs, including two Ministers Bhawani Joshi and Bau Lal Verma, retained six sitting MLAs and fielded 19 new faces.

With this, the party has so far declared candidates on 137 of the total 200 assembly seats. The first list of 94 candidates was announced on November 9 last.

Of the 137 tickets, 25 have been allotted to women, a all time high number for the party.
