Parts of missing helicopter located in AP forest

Khammam, Nov 13 (UNI) The parts of a helicopter, which was missing from August 3, was located in Pamanuru forest area in this district of Andhra Pradesh.

Police said Girijans of the area said parts of the helicopter was missing, on its way from Hyderabad to Chhattisgarh.

It may be recalled that the private helicopter with four crew members on board, which took off on August 3, afternoon, was to land at Jagadalpur Airport for refuelling before heading for Raipur.

But it disappeared while flying over Bastar forest area.

The Jagdalpur Administration informed the State Government that it was not traced. The Chhattisgarh Government took the assistance of the State police and Orissa police to locate the helicopter, but torrential rain prevented the operations.

The Chopper might have crashed in Bastar due to low visibility following heavy rains, police added.
