Land to be given to tribals at the earliest: Ministrer

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 13 (UNI) Kerala Revenue Minister K P Rajendran today said necessary instructions had been given to complete the ongoing survey to make available land to landless tribals at the earliest.

Inaugurating a workshop on Tribal Forest Rights Act here, he said distribution of land to the ribals would begin from January next.

The government's intention was to make Kerala as the first state in the country to complete distribution of land to all tribal families, he added.

The workshop was attended by Revenue Divisional Officers and district-level survery officials.
