CPI condoles death of its senior leader
Patna, Nov 13 (UNI) The CPI today condoled the death of its senior party leader Yamuna Verma and paid rich tributes to him recalling his vast contribution to the society.
In his condolence message, state secretary of the CPI Badri Narain Lal said Mr Verma struggled for upliftment of the downtrodden section of the society and was a firm believer in the ideology of Marx and Lenin, during his long political career.
''In his death, the struggle against feudalism has suffered severe jolt in Bihar,'' Mr Lal said and prayed to the Almighty for the peace of the departed soul.
Mr Verma died after a protracted illness at his residence last night. He was 86.
