Bank manager and police officer arrested in bribery case

Patna, Nov 13(UNI) Sleuths of state vigilance bureau today arrested a bank manager and a police officer while they were accepting bribe.

Additional directior general of state vigilance bureau Neelmani said branch manager of rural bank Lalan Sharma was arrested at his residence in Krishnapuri here while he was accepting Rs 3000 as bribe from ward councillor Ram Kumar Singh for issuance of Kishan credit card. He would be produced before the vigilance court of Patna tomorrow.

Mr Neelmani said in another case, officer in charge of Sonki police station in Darbhanga district Denesh Prasad was arrested while he was accepting Rs 4000 from Rajkumar Thakur to help him a land dispute case. He would be produced before the special vigilance court of Muzaffarpur tomorrow.
