Pondy to host Agri Business Expo

Chennai, Nov 12 (UNI) Puducherry Chief Minister V Vaithilingam would inaugurate an ''Agri Business Expo 2008'' in the Union Territory from December 4-7 to disseminate information and cutting edge technologies in agriculture sector.

''Thozhil Ulagam'' and ''Vivasayee Ulagam'', two monthly magazines from Tamil Nadu will conduct the Expo with the cooperation of the Government of Puducherry, a release from the magazines said today.

On behalf of the Puducherry government, many departments would participate and showcase their products and services.

Stalls would be put up to disseminate information on cutting edge technologies, products, training, marketing strategies and cultivation methods.

Consumers, enterpreneurs and farmers belonging to the industry and agriculture sectors would be benefitted by the expo, the release said.

In the Expo, stalls would be put up by manufacturers, marketing companies, infrastructure firms, government departments, export-import institutions, financial institutions, insurance companies, research organisations and educational institutions, it added.
