Ioan Gruffudd and wife Alice Evans trying for baby

London, Nov 12 : After a year of marriage, Hollywood actor Ioan Gruffudd is trying for a child with wife Alice Evans.

The 'Fantastic Four II' actor has even stopped drinking and has begun taking DIY instead in a bid to become a father pretty soon.

"We've been married for over a year now so the next step is starting a family, putting down roots. We are trying to get pregnant," The Daily Express quoted Gruffudd, as saying.

Ioan is busy building a family nest for wife and the awaited one at their L.A. home.

"I'm busy doing up the house," Ioan said.

"I am blessed that I don't have to work. I thought I'd go stir crazy but it's amazing how you evolve. Life is wonderful. I wake up with a smile on my face, potter around the garden, just living life, really - perhaps for the first time," he added.
