Five killed, 20 injured in bus-truck collision in Anand
Vadodara, Nov 12 (UNI) Five people were killed and 20 others injured when a luxury bus collided head-on with a truck near Tarapur in Anand district early today.
Police said four passengers died on the spot and one succumbed to his injuries on way to a hospital at Tarapur. Eleven of the injured were shifted to Vadodara, Ahmedabad and Jamnagar hospitals.
The deadly collision reportedly took place at around 0430 hrs at Karbara Patia, when the bus driver lost control over his vehicle while trying to overtake a truck.
The ill-fated bus was carrying about 50 passengers. It was on its way to Surat from Jamkhambalia in Jamnagar district, they added.
