Educational institutions bandh peaceful
Hyderabad, Nov 12 (UNI) The educational institutions bandh called by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) demanding the Centre to curb infiltration from Bangladesh, passed off peacefully in Andhra Pradesh today.
The Bandh evoked mixed response, with some educational institutions remaining closed while others functioned as usual.
Examinations in the colleges under the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) were held as per schedule, the University sources said.
However, the Osmania University had postponed examinations scheduled to be held in all colleges affiliated to it. The new dates for the examination would be announced later, according to official sources.
Officials at the District Educational Office here said all government schools remained open.
