BJP chief to visit Mizoram
Aizawl, Nov 12 (UNI): Bharatiya Janata Party national president Rajnath Singh is scheduled to visit Mizoram from November 14 to campaign for his party, which has fielded eight candidates for the December 2 Assembly polls.
BJP sources today told UNI that Mr Singh would visit several villages under the eight constituencies, where the BJP had fielded candidates.
The visit of the national president showed how much the BJP, alleged by Congress as communal party, cared for the citizens of India irrespective of religion or caste, state BJP secretary K Lalchhanhima said.
'' Our national president will come here to see himself how the Mizos have suffered during the corrupt Congress and Mizo National Front government during the past 26 years, '' he said.
Meanwhile, Congress sources said Congress president Sonia Gandhi, her son Rahul Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh would come to Mizoram during the last part of November to campaign for the party.
