Three held in Vadodara for betting on India-Australia Test series

Vadodara, Nov 11 (UNI) Three people, including a cricket bookie, were arrested by the city Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) for allegedly accepting bets on the India-Australia Test series.

The betting racket was busted after the sleuths of the crime branch yesterday raided a house in the Harinagar Society under Karelibaug police station and arrested the trio red-handed.

The raid led to the seizure of seven cellphones, a laptop, a bike, a television set and cash worth Rs 83,000.

The accused were identified as Piyush Shah (bookie), house owner Satish Jaiswal and his domestic help Alpesh Kapasi.
