Relief Fund for Lankan Tamils exceeds Rs 20 crore

Chennai, Nov 11 (UNI) The Sri Lankan Tamils Relief Fund, collected by the Tamil Nadu Government, today crossed Rs 20 crore.

Till this afternoon, the contributions towards the relieffund reached Rs 20.63 crore, an official release here said.

Through Local Administration Minister M K Stalin, the Chennai Corporation employees contributed their day's salary, amounting to Rs 50 lakh and through Minister for Higher Education K Ponmudi, a sum of Rs eight lakh was contributed to the fund, the release said.

Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss presented Rs One lakh as one month salary of Pattali Makkal Katchi(PMK) Central Ministers, the release added.
