RBI fixes reference rate at Rs 47.59 per USD
Mumbai, Nov 11 (UNI) The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today fixed the reference rate for US dollar at Rs 47.59 per unit, up by 27 paise, against its yesterday's rate of Rs 47.32 per dollar.
However, the reference rate for Euro was down by 16 paise to Rs 60.57 per unit from its last close of Rs 60.73 per unit, an RBI release said.
The exchange rates for Pound and Japanese Yen against the rupee were quoted at Rs 74.5521 (Rs 74.2001) per Pound and Rs 48.57 (Rs 47.82) per 100 units of Yen, the release added.
