Prisoner dies due to cardiac arrest in AP

Vijayawada, Nov 11 (UNI) A prisoner, who was lodged in Jaggayyapeta prison in Krishna District died following a stroke in the early hours today.

Police said the deceased M Sreenu, who was facing charge under section 354 of IPC was in judicial remand for the last three days, complained of heart pain.

He was rushed to the Government Hospital at Jaggayypeta, where he breathed his last, Police added.

Meanwhile, Nandigama TDP legislator D Umamaheswara Rao alleged that the victim died due to mental agony, as police had foisted false cases against him.
