Left tribal youths to launch campaign against terrorism
Agartala, Nov 11 (UNI) The Tribal Youth Federation (TYF), a youth wing of the Left Front in Tripura, would organise a rally in the state capital against terrorism, fundamentalism and US influence on Indian democracy on December 14.
TYF general secretary and MLA Pranab Debbarma told UNI here today that the recent serial blasts in Agartala, Assam, Delhi and Bangalore had made a clear indication that miscreants were trying to destroy the secular fabric of India and fraternity among different communities.
He said about 50,000 tribal youths would be joining the rally at Agartala and before that the TYF would extensively campaign against regionalism, fundamentalism and terrorism in remote locations of the state.
''It is an attempt to make the innocent people understand that terrorism or fundamentalism cannot solve the problems of the Northeast and try to motivate the common people to come together and fight unitedly for development of the region,'' Mr Debbarma added.
Meanwhile, Tripura unit of the BJP has announced to launch agitation on November 14 against terrorism and the government's failure to control Jihadi elements in Northeast as well as contain Muslim influx from Bangladesh.
