8 million new GSM customers in October

New Delhi, Nov 11: Breaking all global records, the country's mobile operators have added eight million GSM subscribers during the last month, the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) said on Tuesday, Nov 11.

With the cumulative GSM subscribers already at an estimated level of 242 million, COAI, the GSM operators' body, Director General T V Ramachandran said it would cross the historic 250 million milestone by next month.
