DHBVN offers one-time settlement scheme for defaulters
Chandigarh, Nov 11 (UNI) The Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has offered an attractive scheme for settlement of all type of cases against defaulters pending in various courts, through Mega Lok Adalat, by paying 50 per cent of the penalty.
Surcharge levied on the arrears in such cases would be waived off, A DHBVN spokesman said here today.
The Nigam had decided to introduce one time 'Settlement Scheme' for disputes pending in courts, in view of ensuing Mega Lok Adalats scheduled to be held on December 20 and 21 at all the district head quarters of Haryana.
He said the scheme would be available to all categories of consumers including the theft of electricity cases and would cover all disputes with consumers pending in courts as on October 31, 2008.
All such disputes where penalties had been levied could be settled through the Mega Lok Adalats provided the consumers or the applicants paid 50 per cent of the amount initially assessed, without any surcharge.
