6 railway gangmen crushed by Sarnath Express

Chitrakoot,Nov 11: Six railway gangmen were crushed to death by Varanasi-bound Sarnath Express train on main Mumbai-Howrah train route, about 70 km from here on Tuesday, Nov 11.

The mishap occurred when the speeding Sarnath Express ran over a railway gang comprising six people, engaged in work on the adjacent track between Bargad and Kataiyadandi railway stations.

Sarnath Express was coming from Vilaspur.

Senior railway and district officials rushed to the spot while the identification of the bodies was in process, the railway sources said.

Train traffic on both the sides was disrupted for some time before the tracks were cleared for smooth running of trains on the main route lines.
