JK: 162 cross LoC from Chakkan Da Bagh

Jammu, Nov 11: At least 162 people of separated parts of Jammu and Kashmir crossed the Line of Control (LoC) from Chakkan Da Bagh in weekly Poonch-Rawalakote bus service, official sources said today.

While 94 people, including 38 fresh visitors, travelled to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), 68 people, including 40 fresh visitors, reached Poonch yesterday, the spokesman said.

The Chakkan-Da-Bagh cross-LoC point remained opened from 1040 hrs to 1730 hrs.

The opening of LoC for civilian transit is one of the several Confidence Building Measures (CBMs) initiated by India and Pakistan to carry forward the peace process.
