High-profile link to Malegaon blast
Nashik, Nov 10 (UNI) Amid doubts that there is involvement of a high-profile person in the September 29 Malegaon blast, the Anti-terrorism Squad has moved an application in court today seeking permission for investigating the case.
According to sources, there seems to be involvement of a high-profile leader from Uttar Pradesh in the blast.
The Anti-Terrorism Squad has sought cooperation from the Uttar Pradesh government for the investigation. The court has granted permission for the probe. However, the identity of the high-profile person was not disclosed.
The ATS also moved an application seeking permission for scientific tests of Accused No 6 Ajay Rahirkar and Accused No 7 Rakesh Dhawde.
Meanwhile, Pratibha Jha, sister of Pragya Thakur, key accused in the blast, moved an application seeking permission to meet Pragya. Both these applications were forwarded by the court.
