EC slaps show cause notice against Prof V K Malhotra
New Delhi, Nov 10 (UNI) The Election Commission (EC) today issued a show cause notice to BJP's Chief Ministerial candidate Prof Vijay Kumar Malhotra for violating standing instructions during filing of his nomination papers.
According to the notice, he violated the norms regarding the maximum number of vehicles permitted within the periphery of hundred meters from the office of the Returning Officer (RO) and persons inside the RO's chamber while filing his nomination papers on November 8.
The leader was directed to reply the notice by 1700 hours tomorrow, the notice added.
