Saharsa railway station office set ablaze

Saharsa, Nov 9: An angry mob of passengers, agitated over the inordinate delay of Purabia Express, ransacked the office of Station Assistant and set it ablaze on Sunday, Nov 9. Railway police sources said 5279 Up Purabia express was scheduled to depart for New Delhi on Saturday, Nov 8.

The train, however, failed to reach here and in want of proper informations, the passengers, who were waiting since yesterday, got agitated.

They attacked the office of the station Assistant and damaged the properties there during the day.

Later, they set the office ablaze in which several important documents and other properties were reduced to ashes.

A case was registered and five people were arrested in this connection, the sources added.
