Militant leader shot dead in gun battle, two nabbed in Manipur
Imphal, Nov 9 (UNI) A senior underground leader was gunned down in an encounter with the security forces in Manipur today, police said.
The outlaw, identified as Abdul Kalam, a self-styled commander and Asst Finance Secy of People's United Liberation Front (PULF) M Khan was killed at the encounter at Tarenthil Kunjim in Thoubal district.
One nine mm pistol and six 9 mm ammunition were recovered from the spot.
Elsewhere, two ultras were nabbed.
