ANC takes part in J
Srinagar, Nov 9 (UNI) Taking part in the elections for the first time after 1986, Jammu and Kashmir Awami National Conference (ANC) today announced the list of party candidates for the seven-phase ensuing assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir from November 17.
Muzaffar Shah, son of former Chief Minister Ghulam Mohammad Shah, who heads the ANC will contest from Amira Kadal constituency while party general secretary Mir Mohammad Shafi will file his papers from Sonawar segment.
Mr Shafi released the list of 18 candidates after their names were cleared by the parliamentary board.
He said ten candidates have already filed their nominations for first and second phase of the elections.
