A gang robs worth Rs two lakhs

Kolhapur, Nov 9 (UNI) A gang of four unidentified robbers broke into a house in suburban Mahadik Vasahat locality and decamped with goods worth about Rs two lakh early today.

According the police sources, the robbers barged into the house of Bhalchandra Sadsiv Juvekar, after breaking the windowpanes.

The incident took place when Javedkar and other family members were asleep in a room, while his daughter was in another room. The robbers looted valuables after brandishing a knife towards her.

Looted property included cash worth Rs 78,000, gold and silver ornaments, mobile handsets, the sources added.

No arrests have been made in this connection, police sources said.
