JK police department shuffles 56 officers

Jammu, Nov 9: In pursuance to the guidelines issued by the Election Commission (EC) keeping in view that no officer remains posted in his own constituency, the Jammu and Kashmir police department has shuffled 56 police officers from their present postings, sources on Sunday, Nov 9 said.

''In a major re-shuffle, 56 police officers, including inspectors, sub- inspectors and assistant sub-inspectors, were transferred by the authorities and adjusted as per orders,'' the sources added.

The officers were transferred against order no 1987 of 2008 issued by the district police headquarters.
