IOC to shut Panipat refinery for three weeks
Panipat, Nov 8 (UNI) Indian Oil Corp will shut a 1,20,000 barrels per day (bpd) crude unit and some secondary plants at its Panipat refinery for three weeks from tomorrow.
The three-week maintenance shutdown, earlier planned for September was put off twice as the state-run firm faced a surge in domestic demand.
Apart from the crude unit, the firm plans to shut a 1.7 million tonnes a year hydrocracker, a 3.5 million tonnes a year diesel hydrotreatment unit and a 2.4 million tonnes a year coker for maintenance.
IOC has 10 refineries spread across India with a total capacity of 1.204 million bpd.
