Ch'garh: 226 cases of property defacement

Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, Nov 8: Action has been taken in 226 cases under Prevention of Defacement of Property Act under which there is a ban on causing defacement of any property without obtaining the owners' permission during polls.

Collector and District Returning Officer Sanjay Garg said under this act 95 hoardings, 18 banners, 37 posters and 76 billboards have been removed so far in this district. A total of 113 cases of property defacement were reported in Rajnandgaon Tahsil itself.
