Vice Chief of Army visits Paraplegic Centre
Mohali, Nov 7 (UNI) Lt Gen M L Naidu, Vice Chief of Army Staff today visited Paraplegic Rehabilitation Center (PRC) here and inaugurated the married quarters constructed for the inmates and presented an air conditioned Ambulance to the PRC.
Conveying his deepest pleasure to the Centre, Gen Naidu noted it was a greatest enlightening experience to visit PRC, especially to see the sprit of the inmates and their families. He appreciated the management for discharging their job diligently.
On the occasion he was briefed about the functioning of the Center by the director PRC and was shown all the production units of the Center, which includes printing press, knitting and stitching garment sections, candle manufacturing unit and other departments, being run by the inmates of PRC and their families.
Gen Naidu also visited the Computer Center and Physiotherapy set up of the Center.
A basketball exhibition match comprising teams of the inmates was also played.
