Tech Mahindra to open 6th CoE in UK

New Delhi, Nov 7: Tech Mahindra, the country's largest telecom solutions provider, on Friday, Nov 7 said it will set up a new Centre for Excellence (CoE) in South Tynside in the UK to service its expanding European and North American client base.

The sixth CoE, which will create 500 jobs over the next three years, will service the company's clients specifically focused on delivering a number of government sector specific services in application development, application support and BPO services. One of the users of the services will be BT PLC, including its Global Services Division and BT South Tyneside Ltd, which has recently signed a 184 million euro contract on a major regeneration programme. ''...The centre will be a showcase for Tech Mahindra's services in the UK and European public sector space. The centre is expected not only to generate direct local employment but also provide a boost to local business,'' company Vice President (Strategic initiatives) Mahesh Nagaraj said in a statement.
