Rohit Monserrate's police custody extended till Nov 10
Panaji, Nov 7 (UNI) A local court today extended till November 10, the remand of Goa Education Minister Atanasio Monserrate's son Rohit, who is accused of sexually abusing a German minor girl.
The Children's Court Judge P V Kamat extended the remand and fixed the hearing on Rohit's bail application on Monday Superintendent of Police of the North Goa Bosco Gorge said.
Earlier, on November 5, Rohit was sent in three-day police custody by Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Mapusa, north Goa.
He surrendred before the Calangute police on November 4.
Rohit was arrested in the light of accusation by the 14-year-old girl's mother that he had sexually abused her daughter. She made this accusation after going through SMSs sent by Rohit.
