FIR lodged against Congress's official candidate M Karma
New Delhi, Nov 7 (UNI) An FIR has been registered against the Congress party's official candidate Mahendra Karma for trying to bribe voters in the naxal-affected Dantevada district of Chhattisgarh.
According to a release by the Election Commission, an FIR under section 171(d) of the IPC and section 123 of the Representation of the People Act has been registered against Mr Karma for trying to bribe the tribal women of the district by hundred rupee notes.
The FIR was registered by the SHO of Dantevada in the wake of complaints filed by the Returning fficer (RO), against Mr Karma, the release said.
