Centre releases Rs 332.22 crore to Meghalaya

Shillong, Nov 07 (UNI) The Centre has released Rs 332.22 crore from the distribution of Net proceeds from Union taxes and duties upto October this year to Meghalaya.

Informing this to the House during the Question Hour today, state Finance Minister Conrad K.Sangma also clarified that the amount released during 2003-04 was Rs 225.08 crore.

Mr Sangma, who was replying to a volley of queries raised by Congress Legislator Friday Lyngdoh, said the amount received from the Net proceeds has been fully utilised.
