Accused claims Agartala blast was planned in Bangladesh
Agartala, Nov 7 (UNI) In a confessional statement, the prime accused of Agartala serial blasts on October 1, has revealed that the blast was planned at a hideout of the Assam-based National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) in Moulavibazar of Bangladesh on July 22.
Referring to Sachindra Debbarma's statement, police officials here today said besides the cadres of Pakistan-based ISI and Bangladesh-based DGFI, seven militant outfits of the Northeastern region had attended the meeting and chalked out the blueprint of Agartala blasts.
Sachindra claimed that Northeastern militants, backed by some fundamentalist groups, were spreading the fake currency net in the region and continuously planning to destablise Indian sovereignty.
Sachindra also revealed that one Sagam Ali, who had been arrested by BSF early this year on Tripura border, was sent under the same mission.
Four active mobile SIM cards, including one of Bangladesh, and an amulet containing the name, an international passport and address of a Karachi-based suspected ISI agent, were seized from the possession of Sagam Ali, a resident of Bongaigaon in Assam.
His passport, issued from Guwahati last year, revealed that he was a member of the Bangladesh-based outfit Hazrat Shah Sultan Gyasuddin Awalia and had travelled extensively to Bangladesh and Pakistan last year.
Meanwhile, a court yesterday rejected the bail petition of all the nine accused of Agartala serial blasts and sent them to judicial custody till November 20.
