Schedule for inclusion of fresh old age beneficiaries

Chandigarh, Nov 6 (UNI) The Haryana Government has prepared a schedule to include fresh eligible beneficiaries in the list of Old Age Allowance Scheme every year.

While stating this today, Haryana Social Justice and Empowerment MinisterKartar Devi said that it has been decided to constitute survey teams and undertake "munadi" from October 1 to 31 every year so as to make people aware of the fresh survey under this scheme.

The actual survey to identify new beneficiaries would be conducted from November 1 to December 15, she added.

She said that objections and appeals, if any, would be finalised by district committees headed by Deputy Commissioners from December 16 to 31 every year.

The District Social Welfare Officers would submit final lists of eligible beneficiaries to headquarters by January 15 of the next year. The State Government would approve final lists by February 7 next.

The payment of Old Age Allowance to new beneficiaries would commence from April 1 every year.

She said that an intimation to this effect has been sent to all Deputy Commissioners in the State.
