Punjab: Rs 30-40 lk looted from GPO

Jalandhar, Nov 6: An unspecified number of robbers looted around Rs 30 to 40 lakhs from the General Post Office (GPO) in the city on Wednesday, Nov 5 night. According to police officials the thieves broke into the post office at around midnight after overpowering the watchmen on duty.

The robbery came to light when the GPO opened on Thursday, Nov 6 morning. Further details are still awaited and senior officials have reached the GPO.
