Police burst teargas shells to disperse demonstrators in Srinagar
Srinagar, Nov 6 (UNI) Security forces burst teargas shells and resorted to batoncharge to disperse ''pro-freedom'' demonstrators at Maisuma near here this evening.
Official sources said a group of people took to streets at Maisuma, the headquarters of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), near here raising ''pro-freedom'' slogans and burnt tyres on the road.
Security forces resorted to lathicharge to disperse them, which had no effect on the demonstrators who were pelting stones.
Security forces later burst teargas shells to disperse them.
About half a dozen people were injured in the clash, they said.
