Karnataka CM to petition Lalu Prasad for Rly line
Kannur, Nov 6 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today said he would meet Railway Minister Lalu Prasad and apprise him of the need for a railway line connecting Thalassery in Kerala with Mysore.
The assurance was given to the North Malabar Chamber of Commerce (NMCC) office-bearers when they met him and submitted a memorandum in this regard.
He also assured the NMCC that he would take favourable steps for revising entry tax for Kerala vehicles.
Karnataka Rural Development Minister Sobha Kanthele, who was also present, said due to entry tax, the number of vehicles from Kerala had declined considerably during Dussara.
