Groundnut, oil up;RBD palm oil down

Mumbai, Nov 6 (UNI) Prices of groundnut and its oil moved up on improved demand, while RBD palm oil further declined today on lack of demand by stockists, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange said.

In oilseeds (per quintal), groundnut increased by Rs 25 per quintal. Both castorseed Bombay and Disa also shot up by Rs 15 and Rs 25 per quintal respectively on brisk buying support by stockists.

Kardiseed slightly eased by Rs 30 per quintal amid sluggish demand by bulk conusmers, traders said.

In oils (per 10 kg), groundnut oil soared by Rs 5 per ten kg. RBD palm oil and cottonseed refined slid by Rs 14 and Rs 8 per 10 kg respectively on lower buying support by local dealers.

Even soyabean ref. and rice bran also down by Rs 10 and Rs 5 per 10 kg respectively on lack of fresh demand by stockists.

In de-oiled cakes, undec cottonseed hiked by Rs 300 per metric tonne, traders added.
