Day 7: 262 nominationes filed in MP

Bhopal, Nov 6 (UNI) A total of 262 nominations were filed on the penultimate day for filing of nominations for the Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh today.

Till yesterday a total of 34 women were among 466 candidates who filed their nominations in 230 constituencies where polling is scheduled on November 27.

Bharatiya Jan Shakti State President Ashok Tripathi has filed his nomination from Bioara (Rajgarh) constituency. On this occasion former state chief minister and party head Uma Bharti was also present there.

Bharatiya Janata Party senior leader and former union minister Vikram Verma's wife Nina Verma filed nomination from Dhar constituency.

Reports from different districts said 44 nominations were filed in Dhar, 43 in Khargone, 39 in Chatarpur, 30 in Narsinghpur, 21 in Barwani, 25 in Mandsaur, 17 in Ashoknagar, 16 in Rajgarh and 10 in Harda.
