CCEA approves capital dredging for deepening of approach channel

New Delhi, Nov 6 : The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) today gave its approval to capital dredging for deepening and widening of the approach channel and berth basin of International Container Transshipment Terminal (ICTT).

It provide draft of 14.5 metre at Vallarpadam in Cochin Port at an estimated cost of Rs.381.25 crore through grant-in-aid of Rs.297.42 crore by Government of India and loan assistance of Rs.83.83 crore.

The Project will be executed by Cochin Port Trust, an autonomous body under department of shipping.
