BMPA to hold Print India exhibiton in Mumbai from Nov 14

Mumbai, Nov 6 (UNI) The Bombay Master Printers Association (BMPA) will hold an exhibition of printing and allied industries here from Novermber 18.

The five-day exhibition, 'Total Solutions for Print-Publishing- Packaging', will be organised in the Bombay Exhibition Centre at Goregaon, a western suburb.

BMPA Chairman Dev Nair told reporters here today that ''The exhibitors comprise representatives from ancillary trade segments such as a plethora of graphic art and print suppliers besides printers, suppliers and trade visitors from across the western part of the country.'' The distinguished participants include Epson, Fuji Films, Hewlett-Packard India Pvt ltd, Komori, Kodak Polychrome Graphics India Pvt Ltd, Manroland Technova and Xerox India Ltd among others.

The technological advancement and capabilities achieved has also brought the country to the limelight as a preferred and reliable hub. With 20 per cent of the population being below 20 years and 64 per cent below 34 years, a very high percentage of population influences the market and the packaged and branded products. With special features, the packaging industry is set to grow exponentially. The consistently growing retail sector has become the niche for packaging industry growth. It is estimated that the retail in India will touch Rs 10,000 billion by 2010 and the share of the organised retail will be about Rs 810 billion, he added.
