Water levels up in Kerala reservoirs

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 5(UNI) Water levels in Idukki,Kallada and Idamalayar Reservoirs increased during the period October 28, 2008 to November three, 2008, according to latest statistics released by the Central Water Commission here today.

In Idukki Reservoir, the water level increased by 1.48 ft, Kallada by 0.92 ft and Idamalayar by 3.15 ft, the release said.

The water levels in Idukki, Kallada and Idamalayar Reservoirs stood at 2358.74 feet, 377.95 feet and 504.13 feet respectively.

Compared to the same period last year, the water levels were low in all the three reservoirs, it added.
