Uma slaps her own party man, apologies

Chhindwara, Nov 5: Bharatiya Jan Shakti President Uma Bharti on Wednesday, Nov 5 allegedly slapped a party worker while he was waiting for her outside her rest house.

Party sources said Mr Anil Rai, who is Madhya Pradesh BJS (Prahlad Patel) Vice-President, had come along with some party workers to meet Ms Bharti, who asked them to meet at some other place and leave the rest house. However, Mr Rai kept waiting outside the rest house. When Ms Bharti came out after some time and found Mr Rai waiting, she lost her temper and slapped him. Later, Ms Bharti reached Mr Rai's home and apologised for the incident. Both then left for a visit of the district together.

Talking about the incident, Mr Rai told reporters that Ms Bharti was like an elder sister for him and had the right to do so. Ms Bharti reached here on Tuesday, Nov 4. She was scheduled to address a public meeting but it could not take place. Later, she rested here during night.
