Three drown during Chhath festival in Bihar

Katihar,Nov 5 (UNI) Altogether three people drowned at separate places while paying obesiance to the Sun God during Chhath festival in the district today.

Police said a youth lost his life when he drowned in the Ganges at Manihari while another was sewpt away by the turbulent current of Barandi river.

A person met a watery grave in a pond under Town police station area in the district.

All the victims were taking part in the rituals to offer Araghya to the rising sun, police added.
