Inquiry into irregularities in road work

Bangalore, Nov 5 (UNI) Karnataka Government today ordered a Lok Ayukta inquiry into the alleged irregularities in the proposed road construction work worth Rs 348.76 crore in Hassan City.

An official release said the officials had committed several irregularties in sanctioning of the work and part payment of funds without acquiring the land for the scheme to be completed in two years.

Even today the land acquirement procedure had not been completed, it said.
