Ford India launches new version of Ikon at Rs 4.59 lakh

New Delhi, Nov 5 (UNI) Ford India today introduced the new versions of its Ikon with 1.3-litre petrol engine at Rs 4.59 lakh along with the 1.4-litre Dura Torq TDCi engine at Rs 5.19 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi).

''The company is re-entering the market with a new look and a more refined 1.4 litre diesel option. The 1.4 litre TDCi Dura Torq engine already marks a strong presence in the Ford Fiesta and has established its performance capabilities amongst the customers,'' said Ford India, Managing Director, Michael Boneham said while talking to reporters.

The 1.4-litre Duratorq engine and matching five-speed gearbox, normally found doing duty in the Fiesta and the Fusion will now also power the Ikon.

The Ford Ikon, was introduced in 2001 amongst Indian customers marking the presence of entry-level sedans in the Indian auto market.
